What is Village Creek?

Village Creek is a body of water that runs 44 miles through the City of Birmingham and Jefferson County. It starts at Roebuck and goes through East Lake, North Birmingham, Thomas, Moro Park Ensley, South Pratt to Bayview and into the Warrior River in the State of Alabama.

Announcements

  • VCS is now hiring for two job positions.
  • VCS Village Creek Clean up with Student Leadership was be held on April 20, 2012 from 7:30am - 12:00pm. SGA Adviser and Officers from local high schools should contact Village Creek Society, 205-798-0087, immediately to become apart of the leadership.
  • The Village Creek Society Advisory Board celebrated Mr. Richard S. Woodruff, their Technical Director who is the Director of Finances 99th birthday on March 23, 2012. The VCS Executive Board celebrated his birthday at Logan's Steakhouse on Saturday March 24, and presented him with a Resolution from the Alabama Senate and a Resolution from the Alabama State House.
  • Friday, March 30, 2012, Dr. Anderson, the Pro Bona Founder and President of VCS, was honored at William H. Council Elementary, her first school, for her contributions as an outstanding environmental leader during Women's History Month. She also received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Birmingham City Council.
